A scaled down version of the traditional ‘Fill The Boot’ fund drive by the Farmington Fire Department was hosted this weekend at the intersection of Highway 4 and Escalon-Bellota Road. Here, firefighters Nick Webb and Luis Estrada take a donation. Normally run over four days on the Presidents’ Day holiday weekend, officials decided this year to just have firefighters collecting donations in their turnout boots for two days. Money raised goes to the Firefighters Burn Institute in Sacramento. Over 14 hours, the total collected was estimated at more than $17,200.
