Memorial BBQ serves as Hospice fundraiser

The Pam Phillips Memorial Drive-Thru BBQ Fundraiser is set for Friday, April 25 at Community Hospice and Health Services, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto.

Proceeds benefit Camp Wokini, a grief camp for children and teens, a program of Community Hospice.

Tickets are $20 apiece for the full meal. Hours of the drive-thru are 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and you can grab your meal from your car at this event. Your donation will make a meaningful impact on children and teens coping with grief.

You can purchase tickets for the April 25 drive-thru dinner by texting CampBBQ25 to 41444.

Each BBQ ticket includes: half a chicken, chili beans, potato salad and a dinner roll.

Camp Wokini is a free, three-day overnight camp designed for children and teens ages six to 17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
