The Modesto Junior College Music Department will present the faculty guitar trio ¡Tritarra! in concert on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the MJC Music Recital Hall on East Campus. The concert will also feature guest guitarist Mark Davila, a renowned local musician and first graduate of MJC’s guitar program in 2001.

The guitar trio is comprised of David D. Chapman, director of guitar studies at MJC; Guy Powell, director of guitar studies at Columbia College; and Travis Silvers, director of guitar studies at San Joaquin Delta College and adjunct instructor at MJC. ¡Tritarra! will present a variety of arrangements by other composers as well as some original compositions by members of the trio.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for students and seniors (62 and better). Tickets will be available at the door to the Music Recital Hall beginning 90 minutes prior to the concert.

Proceeds are used to support the programs of the MJC Music Department and provide music student scholarships
