Doctors Medical Center has announced that Jeremy Brown, hospital chaplain, has been honored by Tenet Healthcare as part of its annual recognition program. Brown has been named a Tenet Hero, with the additional honor of being inducted into the Tenet Heroes’ Hall of Fame.

The Tenet Heroes program celebrates those individuals who make a meaningful impact within their communities and go above and beyond their daily responsibilities. Nominated by leadership and/or fellow colleagues, Tenet Heroes exemplify the company’s core values and commitment to its mission.

Each year, a select few are inducted into the Tenet Heroes’ Hall of Fame, the Company’s most prestigious honor for employees. This year, 22 individuals or teams were named to the Hall of Fame, including chaplain Jeremy Brown.

“Jeremy is a true inspiration and his actions make a positive and meaningful impact in our community each day,” said Jay Krishnaswamy, CEO of Doctors Medical Center. “We are proud to serve alongside Jeremy, and deeply appreciate his dedication, selfless nature and continued commitment to providing compassionate care. Jeremy is an incredible asset to our hospital and community, and truly embodies what it means to be a hero.”

Brown was recognized as a Tenet Hero and Hall of Fame winner for his compassion, kindness and dedication. Brown and Bria, his certified facility dog, are invaluable members of the DMC team.

“As our hospital chaplain, Jeremy faces difficult situations every day but he never hesitates to be there for our patients, families and employees at any given time,” Krishnaswamy said. “Jeremy and Bria are present in the moments that people need to know they are not alone. Together, they bring comfort and calmness to everyone around them.”
