This weekend will be a great time to get started on some holiday shopping, as the Escalon United Methodist Church is the site for a holiday bazaar.

It’s the 25th annual Holiday Bazaar offered up by the church, and it’s scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be handmade items and gifts ranging from holiday crafts, embroidered dish towels, wood crafts, aprons, jams and jellies, zucchini relish, candy, biscotti and more. Also, an opportunity drawing will be staged for a queen-sized Americana quilt with tickets offered at $1 each, six for $5 or 13 for $10.

Ready-to-Bake pies will be available at $14 each and feature the flavors of apple, apricot, blackberry, boysenberry, peach, pumpkin, raspberry and strawberry rhubarb.

As part of the day’s festivities, you can attend a Soup and Pie Luncheon, served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Donation requested is $10 per person, with a half lunch available as well. The menu features soup, Genova French bread, pie and a beverage.

Escalon United Methodist Church is at 2000 Jackson Ave., at the corner of Highway 120 and Brayton in Escalon.
