Families from throughout the community turned out for the annual ‘Trunk or Treat’ event hosted on the ground of Heritage Church – formerly Escalon Covenant Church – on Escalon Avenue on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The evening featured vehicles parked in the large parking lot, with decorated trunks in a variety of themes, games and candy giveaways for kids.
Officials said they went through hundreds of pounds of candy during the evening, with the event running from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
There were also some food options available, along with music and plenty of fun. Also in attendance were representatives from the city’s police, fire and ambulance services.
Those decorating their trunks came from Heritage h, Trinity and Escalon Christian Reformed churches, with everyone enjoying the evening and the chance to get a jump start on Halloween.
