The San Joaquin Council of Governments and partners received a $1.75 million grant in 2022 to form the San Joaquin Regional Climate Collaborative, focusing on climate education and outreach in communities around the county, particularly Lodi, Stockton, and Tracy. The RCC program, established by state Senate Bill 1072 in 2018, funds climate efforts in under-resourced communities, helping them secure funding and resources for climate projects.
