Several Escalon High School seniors will be in the spotlight on Friday night, March 7.

The 15 senior boys signed up are taking part in the annual “Mr. Cougar Pageant” and the Friday program will be staged in the EHS Performing Arts Center, running from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

This year’s hopefuls include Dan Adams, Cody Brown, Ian Burk, Joseph Dutra, Lucas Estep, Joshua Fiori, David Ingles, Alexander Jones, John Konradi. Also, Carson Medina, Nate Millard, Ryan Murphy, Wesley Radford, Josue Ruiz and Maximus Velasco.

The Mr. Cougar Pageant is open to the public; tickets will be available at the door. Cost is $15 for adults, those ages eight to 18 (in high school and below) are $10; while tickets for children under eight and veterans are $5.

The program gives the boys a chance to showcase a talent, take part in some fashion modeling and dance routines, as well as answer impromptu questions. There is a panel of judges on hand to score the contestants, with the Mr. Cougar title and other awards on the line.

The fun event has been a crowd favorite the past couple of years and organizers anticipate a good event for the 2025 competition.
