There were plenty of options for making decorative Valentine’s Day cards and creating a sweet treat during the popular ‘Cookies and Cards’ event hosted at the Escalon Library on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 9. The craft day was designed to allow kids to create a card for a loved one for the holiday while each attendee also received a cookie. They were given some frosting and could add various sweet toppings, to either eat the cookie themselves or present it with the card to their intended recipient. Several dozen youngsters attended the event.
