Downtown wine, brew stroll slated in Escalon on Saturday
Chamber

A popular autumn event, the Escalon Chamber of Commerce is putting on its annual Wine and Brew Stroll downtown, set for Saturday, Sept. 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Main Street.

A portion of Main will be shut down for the festivities, with wineries and breweries setting up booths, and featured food vendors offering a variety of items to taste and enjoy. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Sweet Mama Rachel and the Homemade Jam band.

General admission tickets are $45 and more information is available by contacting the Chamber at 209-838-2793.

Attendees can stroll Main Street and try the various wines being poured and the craft brews being served, along with sampling the bites of food prepared and served by Tacos de Nieve, Austin Meats by NAPA, and by the grilling crew at Ace Hardware.

Among the breweries on site will be Dying Breed, Dustbowl, and Five Window Beer Company.

Wineries signed up to pour and showcase their products are Lumberyard Cellars, Zinc House Winery and McManis Family Vineyards, along with Delicato Family Wines and Scotto Cellars.

The Chamber of Commerce wrapped up its monthly Farmer’s Market events in August and moved quickly into putting the final touches on the Sept. 21 Wine and Brew Stroll.

Next month the Chamber will host its Harvest on Main event, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6 from 11 am. to 2 p.m., entered in and around the city’s Main Street Park. That event will include pumpkin carving and decorating for kids, craft projects, a costume contest, decorated cars, music, food and more.
