Early October brings annual citywide sale
esc sale

Tuesday, Oct. 1 is the due date to sign up to get your address added to the map for Escalon’s fall tradition; the annual citywide yard sale.

This will be the 32nd annual event and the citywide sale is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Always bringing in yard sale enthusiasts and treasure seekers from the Bay Area, the foothills and everywhere in between, the sale gives residents a chance to do some fall cleaning. Then, they can set up shop in their yard, garage or driveway, making money on those long-forgotten items stored in a closet or left in a corner.

For a $5 fee, residents can also have their address listed on a map that will be available prior to the sale day. The map will be online at cityofescalon.org beginning Thursday, Oct. 3.

You can sign up in person for putting your address on the map by going to City Hall at 2060 McHenry Ave., or visit online at https://tinyurl.com/3v5u4vmk.

There are typically dozens of yard and garage sales around town and out into some country areas, as well as some groups hosting tables at various locations to benefit local service organizations.
