EHS Fall Concert Hits All The Right Notes

Four different groups performed for a large, appreciative crowd at the Escalon High School Performing Arts Center on Wednesday evening, Oct. 16.

The occasion was the Fall Concert, with groups led by Instrumental Director Ashley Crow and Choral Director Katie Steffanic.

Taking the stage first were members of the Jazz Band, offering up Now What, In the Mood, Wizard Wheezes and Povo. Then the Orchestra settled in for a performance of three pieces, Attila, Creatures and A Thousand Years.

After a brief intermission, with attendees able to view the various opportunity drawing baskets available, the concert resumed with the EHS Choir taking the stage. They performed A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Madrigal, In the Pretty Springtime, Bonse Aba and wrapped it up with a fun, crowd pleasing rendition of Monster Mash.

Rounding out the show was the Concert Band, performing Festive Proclamation, A Lullaby in the Mirror and Skeleton Dance, complete with eerie noisemakers.
