After a very successful ‘Soup Saturday’ in February, members of the Farmington United Methodist Church are planning another one.

The date for the next luncheon gathering is Saturday, April 5 at the church, 25626 Elm St., Farmington.

Hours for the Soup Saturday event will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“There were many soups served as well as this time planning Dutch Meatball, Chili, Zucca Toscano and many more,” said event spokesperson Crystal Moos. “We’re presenting a new item this month, a sourdough bread bowl at an additional cost.”

The luncheon will include soup, a dessert, Genova French bread and a beverage for $10; slightly higher fee for the bread bowl with soup.

Also, said Moos, those attending can get $1 off the cost of the Soup Saturday meal when bringing a non-perishable food item to donate.

There will also be soup to go.
