Coming up on Saturday, April 19, Lorina’s Edible Garden at 17397 Enterprise Road, Escalon, will be hosting Easter at the Barn, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be a vendor market, pony rides and a free egg hunt for youngsters, with the hunt starting at 1 p.m.
The nursery and farm store will both be open with plenty of spring plants and gifts available, along with vegetables, herbs and succulents.
Egg hunt registration on site begins at 10 a.m. and early registration is welcome by email: lorina@lorinasediblegarden.net
Owner Lorina Cajias said she put out a request previously for donations of plastic eggs, candy and small prizes for the egg hunt for local youngsters and was overwhelmed by the response.
“We got so much love from the community,” Cajias said, pointing to contributions from Escalon FFA, NIM retirement group, donations from residents and the ‘Friends of the Farm’ supporters.
“It’s a free event,” Cajias said of youngsters coming for the egg hunt. “Parents must register their children to participate. They will receive a wristband and a little bag for eggs.”
