Residents who still need to dispose of their Christmas tree can do so for free this coming weekend. Escalon Fire Department is hosting its annual tree pick-up scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 11.

Christmas trees need to be placed curbside, with tinsel and ornaments removed, and also minus the tree stand. Place them at the curb in front of your house by 7 a.m. Saturday. The trees will be picked up at no cost, with department members collecting them throughout the morning.
