Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted shoppers arriving through the front entrance to the Saron Lutheran Church on Saturday, Nov. 4 in Escalon, with the annual Kris Kringle Market drawing a sizeable crowd.

Photo opportunities were available with Santa, while the event also featured a chili and cornbread luncheon for purchase, including pumpkin pie for dessert. Tables set up adjacent to the dining area held a wide variety of options for holiday gift giving, with plenty of homemade treats and handmade specialty items.

There were holiday ornaments, decorative hand towels, eye pillows, placemats and coasters, ornamental rocks, jams and jellies, breads and cookies, a book and puzzle area, a chance to win a quilt, jewelry, and more.

One table even offered up some ‘reindeer food’ that could be purchased for leaving out on Christmas Eve to help Santa and his sleigh team along their way.
