Jam packed schedule of Escalon library events

Family Story Time will run every Thursday in March at 10:30 a.m. at the Escalon Public Library, 1540 Second St., and is just one of many scheduled programs at the local branch.

Also offered are Chair Yoga for adults, each Monday at 10 a.m.; Music and Movement for ages up to four on Tuesdays throughout the month at 10:30 a.m.; with Legos and Listen for ages five to 11 the first and third Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Hooked on Crochet runs the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 4 p.m., designed for ages 10 and up.

The Modesto Children’s Museum is putting on a special Body Basics program, for TK through second graders, with registration required, at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.

The next Adult Book Club meeting is set for 5 pm. on Friday, March 14.

Kids are encouraged to come to the library on Monday, March 17 for the ‘Read to a Therapy Dog’ program at 3:30 p.m., recommended for ages five and up.

Line Dancing with Emily is set for Friday, March 21 at 5:15 p.m.

The next Library Garden Club meeting for students in second through eighth grades is set for Wednesday, March 26 at 4 p.m.

The Friends of the Escalon Library organization, meanwhile, is also getting ready to host its annual Used Book Sale, set for Saturday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Friends group is always looking for new members, cost is $10 for an individual membership, $25 for a family, $30 for a business.

The library will be closed for a staff in service day on Friday, March 7.

Regular hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
