Plan to join in with the Farmington Fire Department as it hosts the annual Community Christmas Party this Friday, Dec. 18 at the firehouse, corner of Escalon-Bellota Road and Highway 4.
The annual celebration is put on by the Farmington Fire Department Board of Directors, the Farmington Odd Fellows, Farmington United Methodist Church and Farmington fire volunteers.
Doors will open for the festivities at 6:30 p.m. for socializing, with hot and cold beverages, homemade cookies and holiday music. Santa Claus arrives on the fire truck at 7 p.m. to hear holiday wishes, have his photo taken with young visitors and present each child with a small gift and candy cane.
All are welcome to attend.
Also scheduled this weekend in Farmington, at the nearby Farmington United Methodist Church on Elm Street, is a free community Christmas Dinner, offered at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20. The dinner will be followed with a Carols and Candlelight church service at 6 p.m.
