Saturday, Jan. 11 turned out to be a quiet day in terms of responding to calls so Escalon firefighters got in some ‘winter cleaning’ while they had the time. Here, Battalion Chief Dan Morriss, at right, and firefighter Moe Silva put the finishing touches on polishing up Engine 1-1 after washing it. The department had an unusual weekend day, with no calls for service logged.
