Oak Valley Hospital District is expanding its services to include a broader range of general surgery services, including bariatric surgery. Through a new partnership with Central California Surgery, OVHD looks to improve access to specialized medical care while continuing to exceed the standards of excellence that they strive to achieve.
The Central California Surgical Team includes Dr. Matthew Coates, Dr. Andrew Huber and Dr. Antonio Coirin, all of whom perform general and bariatric surgeries, will now be providing services at the local hospital.
“Oak Valley Hospital has excellent facilities that will allow us to provide the highest standard of care for our patients, said Dr. Matthew Coates, in response to why this partnership is so meaningful.
Central California Surgeons will work in conjunction with Dr. Edward Chock, OVHD Board Member and local physician practicing in Oakdale for more than 40 years.
David Rodrigues, Chief Operating Officer of Oak Valley Hospital District, noted that “we are always looking to grow as an organization and to grow our footprint a bit.” With the addition of the new operating room suites, which are equipped with the latest technology and upgrades, they are expecting to grow their patient base through offering surgeries including bariatric surgeries, which had not been performed at OVHD prior to this partnership.
“We are excited about the possibilities that this will bring to our community here in Oakdale,” said Matthew Heyn, CEO of Oak Valley Hospital District.
Through expanding its surgical services, OVHD is also hoping to bring more potential patients to the community to receive the medical treatment they need while also supporting local businesses, whether that is by staying in hotels or shopping at stores.
“Oak Valley is here to serve the community and positively embrace the community,” said David Neal, VP Nursing.
Neal is excited about the significant growth within the surgical department and said that he and his team are looking forward to offering new and innovative surgical solutions to our community.
