The City of Oakdale Animal Shelter will host a special adoption event at the Escalon Library on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The theme will be “We Are Thankful For Our Pets” and the library will have a special activity for children in addition to adoptable pets being on site.

Oakdale Animal Shelter staff will bring several adult cats, kittens and dogs available for adoption. The special adoption fee for dogs will be $50 and for kittens, $25 or two for $25 if adopted to the same home. Adult cats will be free. All adoptions include the spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. For more information, call the Oakdale Animal Shelter at 209-847-5625.

Donations of items for the shelter will also be accepted as this special program.

The Oakdale shelter serves the cities of Oakdale, Riverbank and Escalon.
