Teams registered for the 2025 Relay For Life of the Greater Central Valley are gearing up for the mid-May event and are putting on plenty of fundraisers between now and then.

The Relay Corner will be a regular feature in the weeks leading up to the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, which is scheduled this year from 9 a.m. Saturday, May 17 to 9 a.m. Sunday, May 18 at Johansen High School in Modesto. Teams from communities throughout Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties will take part, as well as some from neighboring counties as well.

Bingo Fun

Get ready to enjoy Bingo Night, set for Saturday, March 15 at St. Paul’s Church, 1635 Chester Drive, at Lowell and Chester in Tracy. Cost is $20 per person and food will be provided. The entry fee covers 10 games and there will be 100 winners during the evening. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6 p.m. There will be multiple rounds of the classic game and all proceeds from Bingo Night benefit the MLB team taking part in Relay For Life of the Greater Central Valley.

Yard Sale

Scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 1813 Vanowen Court in Modesto, the Meet The Flockers team will host a yard sale. A wide variety of items will be for sale at reasonable prices. Hours for the yard sale are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lions Club Bingo

Sponsored by the Lathrop Lions Club, plan to enjoy Bingo on Sunday, March 16 at 1 p.m., hosted at the Lathrop Community Center, 15557 Fifth St., Lathrop. Cost is $20 with additional cards available at $10 each. Multiple prizes to be awarded per game and lunch will be provided.

Craft Fair

Wellspring Anglican Church, 1548 Cummins Drive, Modesto will be the site for a Spring Craft Fair for a Cure. The event is scheduled for Saturday March 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with plenty of vendors signed up to take part. Come do some shopping for unique items and support Relay For Life at the same time.

DIY Workshop

The Pirates-of-the-CURE-ibbean team at Relay For life is hosting a Do-It-Yourself doormat workshop. Seating is limited, visit https://shorturl.at/phk29 to register and enter access code BBRFL25. You can then click on the project you want to create, enter information requested on the page and click on the “Add Reservation” tab and follow the prompts until registration is completed. The event is scheduled for Monday, March 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Board and Brush, 3020 Floyd Ave., Suite 309, Modesto. Seats available on a first come, first served basis.

PlayStation Drawing

Team MLB is offering tickets for a drawing that will be hosted during the 2025 Relay For Life event at Johansen High School, with the drawing to occur at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 17.
