A sure sign of spring; young entrepreneur Grey Meador, 9, a third grader at Van Allen Elementary, set up shop with a lemonade stand on Thursday, March 27. Though it was a windy day, he had lemonade and cookies for sale, raising money for a new bike. Grey’s refreshment booth was at Miller and Chalane and did a pretty brisk business, including people on their way home from work and a couple of Escalon High School students who offered a high five along with some cash for the juice and cookies. Grey worked the stand for about 90 minutes and hopes to do it again soon.
