With the date coming closer for the seventh annual Color Run in Escalon, sponsors are still needed and participant sign-ups are still being taken.

Co-coordinator April Adams said organizers would like to have all sponsors signed up by the end of this week, Friday, Jan. 17 and will continue to take registration for runners right up until the event, set for Saturday, Feb. 8.

The Escalon Educational Foundation puts on the annual run and will have both a one and two-mile course, set up on the campus of Escalon High School, for this year’s event.

Family friendly, participants can walk, jog, run, skip, whatever style they want to use, to make their way around the course. At certain locations, the color stations are set up so those on the course get doused with a palette of colors during the event. Those taking part can also opt to avoid the colored powder.

All proceeds from the event benefit the students of Escalon Unified School District. Adams said many teacher and classroom grants were funded throughout the district as a result of the successful color run in 2024 and they hope to find similar success this year. The EEF also provided scholarships for several graduating EHS seniors. All schools in the district received some funding.

Sponsor levels range from Bronze at $150 to Silver, $300; Gold, $500; Platinum, $1000. Name recognition for the individual or company on the back of the event T-shirt is part of the sponsorship package.

For those looking to take part, the registration fee is $25 per person. Check in on Saturday, Feb. 8 will be from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on the EHS campus, with the Color Run starting at 8 a.m.

The course is well marked, laid out along the campus playing fields.
