The 2024 Stanislaus River Salmon Festival is set to bring excitement to the Knights Ferry Recreation Area east of Oakdale on Saturday, Nov. 9. The event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., promises to be a fun-filled day for the entire family. Admission is free, although there is a $10 parking fee per vehicle unless you hold a USACE pass.
The festival features over 50 natural resource exhibitors and vendors, showcasing the vibrant local environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy food, arts and crafts, and experience a cultural touch with performances from Native American drummers. Festivalgoers can also witness the awards ceremony for the calendar contest and participate in interactive activities such as fly-casting demonstrations.
A highlight of the day will be salmon viewing opportunities along the river, allowing guests to observe these remarkable fish during their journey. For those seeking a bit more adventure, mini guided rafting tours will be available. There will also be an “Adopt a Pet” station, where families can find a new furry friend to bring home.
With its wide range of activities, the Stanislaus River Salmon Festival offers something for everyone.
