Stanislaus State Continues Community Involvement

With a variety of programs and services, Stanislaus State University in Turlock has plenty of news to share with the community. COVID Vaccines

Stanislaus County’s COVID-19 vaccine schedule at Stanislaus State continues this week. At Stanislaus State Fitzpatrick Arena, officials will be vaccinating Phase 1A and ages 65+ with a second dose only on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Porges Family Gift

A $250,000 gift from the Porges Family Foundation will establish the Warrior Entrepreneurship Initiative, designed to provide inspiration, mentorship and financial support to emerging entrepreneurs as they strive to turn their ideas and concepts into new business ventures that can help grow the region’s economy.

 

‘Barbershop Talks’ Offered

Male students of color looking for a safe space to talk about issues with role models who understand their challenges need to look no further than the Barbershop Talks series hosted by the Stan State’s Male Success Initiative.

 

Basic Needs Met

Music education major Ryan Carr isn’t being overly dramatic when he says if it weren’t for Stanislaus State’s Basic Needs assistance, he would have been forced to drop out of school.

 

Computer Science Students Learn Coding

Twenty-two students from Stan State and Tongmyong University in South Korea participated in an intensive virtual four-week class where they learned coding and web development.
