Gold STARS Rating

Stanislaus State has earned a STARS Gold rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) in recognition of its sustainability achievements. STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System, measures and encourages sustainability in all aspects of higher education.

Future Teachers Find Inspiration

Students from Stanislaus State and Modesto High School considering teaching as a future profession recently attended the Educators Rising National Conference in Washington. Assistant Professor and Stan State alumna Ana York helped establish two local chapters of Educators Rising, one at the University and the other at Modesto High School. The goal is to provide middle school, high school and college students with early exposure to the teaching profession.

Fall Welcome Address

President Britt Rios-Ellis will deliver her inaugural address to the campus community and guests from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19 at Snider Recital Hall on the Stan State campus in Turlock. Rios-Ellis, who began her appointment July 1, will discuss upcoming plans and initiatives for the fall semester and 2024-2025 academic year. A welcome reception for President Rios-Ellis and Dr. Enrique Rios-Ellis will follow.
