Store Liquidation Due At Local Planet Video
Closing

The local Planet Video at 2241 Jackson Ave., in Escalon, will be the site for a Store Liquidation and Closing Sale this week.

Longtime Planet Video owner Cathy Sessums Marshall lost her battle with cancer on May 1. All proceeds and donations during the May 19 through May 21 event will be used for Cathy’s son, Jesse, and for services and financial needs.

From Friday, May 19 through Sunday, May 21, the store will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with DVDs on sale for $1 each; Blue Rays for $2 each. Each Season Series collection will be available for $5.

On Sunday, May 21 there will be a special Classic Rock benefit concert to assist the family. Performer Radioman Richie C and special guests will perform from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Planet Video.

Magic shows at D’Boni’s Pizza, 2249 Jackson, will be staged at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., with John Marshall, magician, entertaining all ages. Donations appreciated.

Cathy was the owner of Planet Video in Escalon for many years. Friends describe her as “kind, funny and the most giving person.” She also loved the Escalon community and made many friends through her work at Planet Video.

All are encouraged to stop by Planet Video from Friday through Sunday, May 19 through 21, to see what merchandise is available and to enjoy the music and magic benefit shows scheduled on Sunday afternoon, May 21.
