Stress Rates Released During Awareness Month

With April being Stress Awareness Month and the coronavirus becoming America’s biggest stressor in 2020, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its report on  2020’s Most and Least Stressed States as well as  accompanying videos.

To determine the states with the highest stress levels, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 41 key metrics. The data set ranges from average hours worked per week to personal bankruptcy rate to share of adults getting adequate sleep.

Here are the results for California, with 1=Most Stressed and 25=Average.

• 27th – Share of Adults Getting Adequate Sleep

• 23rd – Percentage of Adults in Fair/Poor Health

• 23rd – Job Security

• 33rd – Median Credit Score

• 1st – Housing Affordability

• 19th – Percentage of Population Living Below Poverty Line

• 36th – Divorce Rate

• 14th – Crime Rate per Capita

• 39th – Psychologists per Capita
