Trail walks hosted at Oak Grove this fall
SJ Acorns

The first Sunday of the month, September through November, will feature a fall walk at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton.

Titled ‘Acorns, Woodpeckers and Galls, Oh My!’ the walks are scheduled at 11 a.m. on Sundays, Sept. 1, Oct. 6 and Nov. 3.

Enjoy an easy walk along the paved Yokuts Trail and ‘fall’ into the Valley Oak Woodlands.

See acorns ripening, woodpeckers and fantastically shaped galls incubating on limbs and leaves. No pets allowed.

This is a free event and no reservation is required. There is a $10 special parking fee for the Sept. 1 program and a $6 cash parking fee for the October and November programs.
