The meat will be grilled and a dinner for four will be served up, as the Escalon High School Sober Grad Drive-Thru Tri-Tip Dinner is on the schedule for Saturday, April 6.

Tickets are $60 and the meal includes a whole grilled tri-tip, four baked potatoes, a bag of salad and a loaf of bread, enough to feed a family of four. The drive-thru will be set up at El Portal Middle School on First Street.

Diners can drive up, present their ticket and have the meal delivered curbside to their car. Drive-thru hours are 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Grilling of the tri-tip will begin Saturday morning and a crew will put together the rest of the dinner, ready for the drive thru service. Proceeds from this event go to support the Sober Grad program at Escalon High School. The goal is to provide a safe, sober environment for members of the Class of 2024 to spend their final high school night together. The evening typically features food, games, music, photo booth, inflatables, laser tag and lots of prizes.
