Scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m., teams involved in the 2025 Relay For Life of the Greater Central Valley will gather for their monthly meeting.
The session will be hosted at Wellspring Anglican Church, 1548 Cummins Drive, Modesto.
“We are doing awesome work, helping those whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Come join us and celebrate what we’ve accomplished so far and plan to do this year,” said event chairperson Irene Cortez. “We’ll talk more about how the event is shaping up, fundraising news and ideas, recognition of teams and individuals.”
The general meeting is open to all. Dinner will be available on site, as a fundraiser for the Meet the Flockers team; purchase a slice of pizza, cheese or pepperoni, and a drink for $4; an additional slice of pizza will cost just $1.50 more.
This year’s theme is Carnival for a Cure, with teams able to decorate their booths in a carnival theme and host carnival-style games.
Dates for the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event for the Greater Central Valley are fast approaching, with the 24-hour team event set from 9 a.m. Saturday, May 17 to 9 a.m. Sunday, May 18.
