Volunteers sought for dinner service
Thanksgiving

The Escalon Ministerial Association is getting ready to put on the Community Thanksgiving Dinner and is looking for some volunteers to help out. The dinner will be staged at the Escalon Community Center on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28.

Food preparation will be done by culinary students at the Institute of Technology in Modesto and serving will be done inside the Escalon Community Center, 1055 Escalon Ave., from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. While service of the dinner will be just for one hour, attendees are welcome to come early and stay after eating, sharing the camaraderie of the day. There will be some home deliveries for shut-ins; transportation arrangements are also being made to assist those who need help getting to the Community Center for the sit-down dinner.

Volunteer hours will vary by area of service; those interested in helping out can visit https://tinyurl.com/2024EMAThanksgivingVolunteer for more information or to sign up.
