Beatrice “Bea” Ilene Johnson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 23, 2025, at the age of 92. Bea was born on March 17, 1932, to John and Erma Venturella, in Apache, Oklahoma. She was proudly raised in Escalon, California.

Bea leaves behind her beloved grandson Garrett (Cristina), great-grandson Mateo, daughter-in-law Connie, sister Ruth, and countless extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and son Royce.

Bea was a homemaker and dedicated member of Escalon United Methodist Church. Bea will lovingly be remembered as a caring mother and grandmother, avid knitter, passionate bowler, and caring friend.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, February 6 at 11 a.m. at Escalon United Methodist Church followed by interment at Burwood Cemetery. Donations in Bea’s memory may be made to Escalon United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
