Brenda Caton, 55, an Oakdale resident for the last 2 years, prior resident of Escalon for 33 years, entered into rest on July 10, 2008 at Alexander Cohen Community Hospice House in Hughson. She was born Jan. 11, 1953.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 35 years, DJ Caton; her mother Evelyn Slade of Orland; her children Lee and his wife Vanessa Caton of Herald and Cody Caton of Escalon; her two brothers Steve Slade of Santa Cruz and Greg Slade of Red Bluff.
She had a way with people, from babies, to teenagers to our elders. She was a beautiful wife, loving mother and a caring friend. Brenda was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Deegan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. A Rosary/Mass was held Tuesday, July 15 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ripon, and burial followed at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Alexander Cohen Community Hospice House, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
