Deborah June Hawkins passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023 in Escalon, CA surrounded by her family and friends, at the age of 62. Deborah was born on June 14, 1961 to Evelyn Joyce and Jonathan Rayford Pearce in San Diego, California. Deborah lived the majority of her life in Escalon, CA.

The most important thing in her life was her children and family. Her favorite pastimes were reading, photography, writing and journaling. She dabbled in karate with her children and even gained her double black belt.

She was actively involved in the Escalon Sports Boosters, she coached her kids, nieces and nephews in swim and soccer, and took stats for her grandchildren’s sports and attended every event for her children and grandchildren. Above all else, Deborah loved her family and friends. She always put everyone first and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. She was the most loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and GG. Deborah will always be remembered for her loving heart.

Deborah leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Larry Hawkins, along with her children; Taylor Hawkins, Garrett Hawkins (Alicia), Madison Hawkins, and step-daughter, Maureen Costa (Don), as well as her six grandchildren. Deborah also leaves behind her parents, Evelyn Joyce and Jonathan Rayford Pearce, her three siblings, Gregory Pearce (Michelle), Teresa Kennedy, and Jeffrey Pearce (Hillary), along with many nieces and nephews. Deborah was preceded in death by her sister, Crystal Wendland.

Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Hawkins family. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. at Escalon Christian Reformed Church, 2203 California St., Escalon. Burial to follow at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 E. River Road, Escalon and services conclude with a luncheon back at the Escalon Christian Reformed Church.
