Joann Strand, 82, passed peacefully on August 27, 2024 in Corvallis, Oregon.

She was born May 3, 1942 to Case and Mable Rietveld.

She married Douglas Strand in Escalon in October, 1962.

She is survived by her husband Douglas, sons Gus and Ole, and six grandchildren.

Also surviving are sisters Judy and Lowell, Donna and Ron, and Lori Bonzi, and brother Tim. There are also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Highland School of Nursing in Oakland, CA. Her nursing career lasted 36 years.

She loved to love people and never lost her smile.

There will be a celebration of life later in the spring of 2025. A date is yet to be determined.
