Karen Johnson passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023 at her home in Sacramento, California, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 78 years old. She was born Karen Coleman, on January 24, 1944 to parents Albert and Elaine Coleman (both deceased) in Stockton, California. She was raised in Escalon, California.
Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and wife. She graduated from Sac State with a Master’s Degree in Psychology, and went on to work for Turning Point as a counselor for mental health for many years. Karen was here on Earth for an amazing 78 years and is now our angel. We love and miss you, Mom!
Karen is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, David Johnson of Sacramento, and sister, Barbara Gonzales of Folsom. Karen is survived by her daughters, Krystal Puccetti and Karen Bryson (Hughes) of Sacramento, four grandchildren, Devin Ramos, Jacob Swimme, Kaden Bryson and Noah Bryson of Sacramento; sisters, Darlynn Coleman of Escalon and Pamela Giacomo of Sacramento; as well as nine nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Curtis Bryson (son-in-law) and family.
Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve Karen’s family. A graveside service will be held at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery located at 17871 Carrolton Road, Escalon, California on January 20, 2023 at 12:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at the Grange Hall located at 1844 Main Street, Escalon, California.
