Sadly, Kurt William Pettitt passed away on the evening of June 11, 2022 at the age of 56 in Collegeville, CA. Kurt was born October 30, 1965 to parents Clint and Betty Pettitt in Placerville, CA. Kurt was an active member and resident of Collegeville and Escalon for 53 years. He worked for the Escalon School District for 38 years, served for the Collegeville Fire Department for over 30 years and was a member of the Sheriff’s Posse for a short time. Kurt enjoyed traveling the country with family. He was an active member of the NRA and loved his local Ag community.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Lynda Pettitt; his daughter, Kaylee Pettitt of Collegeville; his stepchildren, Timothy O’Neill of Copperopolis, Todd O’Neill of Collegeville, Travis O’Neill of Davis and Renee O’Neill of Sacramento; grandchildren, Oliver, Callum and Madison. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Pettitt of Collegeville. He is preceded in death by his father, Clint Pettitt.

Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Pettitt and O’Neill family during this very difficult time. A funeral service for Kurt will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Church Assembly of God, 1900 California St., Escalon, followed by a procession led by the Collegeville Fire Department to Kurt’s final resting place at Farmington Memorial Park, 5225 S. Escalon-Bellota Road, Farmington. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Tunnels to Towers at www.t2t.org.
