Laura was born in Tracy, California. As a young woman she moved to Stockton and worked until she met the love of her life Willard Arthur “Bill” Tower and they moved to Farmington. They were married for more than 69 years. They had two children, Willard “Will” Tower and Glenda Duyst.
Laura was very involved with many community, state, and national educational and agricultural organizations throughout the years as well as working with the Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation for 25 years.
She leaves behind her husband Bill, daughter and son-in-law Glenda Tower Duyst and Robert Duyst, grandchildren Laury Ann Duyst, Bobby and wife Zarah Duyst. She also leaves behind her loving brother Frank Wheeler, Darlene Wheeler, and beloved sister-in-law Carol Tower Blackwell.
She will be greeted in heaven by her son Will who predeceased her.
Services will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 3700 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204.
