Megan Cathleen Willis passed away suddenly at her home in Reno, Nevada. She is survived by her son Merrick Van Dyne, her mother Wendy Weller (husband Andy Trapani), her father David Willis (wife Barbara), her great aunt Dorothy Weller, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Megan graduated from Escalon High School in 1992 and worked for several years at the Modesto Bee. While there she pursued a degree in Business and had been working as an accountant at Dragonfly Energy Corp in Reno.

A viewing for family and close friends was held at Walton’s Funerals in Reno with a celebration of life being planned for some time in 2024. Megan had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed singing karaoke. She was involved for many years with various Renaissance Faires, complete with a variety of costumes. Megan was a cat lover, owning several over the years, rescuing a few, and volunteering at the Catmandu Cat Shelter in Carson City. In previous years Megan made jewelry and sold her creations at various craft fairs. She also embroidered gift items for family and friends.
