Pedro Moreira, 75, of Manteca passed away Thursday, July 10 at Doctor's Hospital of Manteca.
He was born December 20, 1932 in Norte Grande, Sao Jorge, Azores and had lived in Manteca for 44 years.
He was a farm laborer for 25 years
Mr. Moreira was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He participated in the Holy Ghost festival at the FESM hall. He enjoyed gardening, and in his younger years he enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Fatima Moreira of Manteca; children Jim Moreira and wife Elena of Manteca, Joe Moreira of Manteca; granddaughter Alicia Moreira of Manteca; siblings Joao Moreira of Fremont and Ida Moreira of Sao Jorge, Azores; and sister-in-law Cecelia Wallow of Monterey.
Visitation and Vigil were held Tuesday, July 15 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., Escalon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 16 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with burial at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
