Robert William Hagemann, 73, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Bethany Home in Ripon.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1938 in Oakland, CA.

Mr. Hagemann grew up in Livermore, and graduated from Livermore High School in 1956. He then served three years in the United States Navy, and soon after attended Fresno State College to earn his Bachelor's Degree, then U.C. Davis to earn his Master's Degree in Agronomy. After graduating, he worked for the University of California Extension Service. He traveled to many countries as an agricultural consultant for FMC.

He retired in 1986 to follow his real estate investments. At this time, he resided in Oakdale. He will be forever missed, and always remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle, and grandpa.

Survivors include his children, Cindy Renne Hagemann of Oakdale, Lorrie Metcalf of Vallejo; grandchildren Craig, Cayla, Carissa, Carley, Shaynna, Samantha, and Sydney; his brother Augie Hagemann of Oakdale; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents August and Mabel Hagemann, his brother Lloyd Hagemann, his niece Terry Hagemann, and his grandnephew Jared Hagemann.

Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Monday, May 14 at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, May 15 at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel with a Graveside Service on Wednesday, May 16 at Rose Lawn Cemetery, 1240 N. Livermore Ave. in Livermore at 11 a.m.
