Born Aug. 6, 1952 in Gardena, California, he had lived in the Escalon and Valley Home area for 50-plus years. He was involved in the heating and air conditioning business for 15 years and was a member of Trinity Church. He also was known as a great mechanic and enjoyed woodworking. He could fix just about anything and he loved tinkering with tools. He was a fan of NASCAR and enjoying spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his partner and best friend of 22 years, Linda Yarber of Escalon; two grandchildren, Shalene and Johnny Yarber of Escalon; sister, Deanna Winchester of Valley Home, one niece and nephew and many friends, who knew him as 'Papa Ron.'
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were private, at Trinity Church, with burial in Escalon.
A family assistance fund, the Yarber Family Assistance Fund, has been set up for the family at Bank of the West.
