Sandy Anderson, 39, entered into rest on June 17, 2016 at her home in Escalon. She was born on November 2, 1976 in Modesto to her late parents, Manuel and Maria Nunes. Sandy leaves behind her loving husband of 17 years, Matt Anderson, her sons Luke (13) and Logan (11), her brothers Steve Nunes, David Nunes (Marissa), Tom Nunes (Lindsey), and her sisters Diane Nunes and Cathy Wildenberg (Darren). Sandy was known as Mrs. Anderson to many for about 15 years. She taught at Van Allen Elementary School in Escalon and at Nile Garden Elementary School in Manteca. She also taught catechism and was involved with the YLI (Young Ladies Institute) at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Escalon. She loved sports, especially the SF Giants, and she loved playing cards. Sandy will be sorely missed. She truly touched so many lives and will never be forgotten.
Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to be serving Sandy’s family. A Rosary was held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19399 East Highway 120 in Ripon. A Funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, located right behind the church.
