Willy Van Vliet Hartkamp, 83, of Escalon passed away on Sunday, July 13 at Bethany Home in Ripon.
She was born on June 6, 1925.
Known as Oma, she was the core of her family and never wanted to miss a thing. Through her faith she was a pillar of strength. She was loved by all and many were blessed to have known her.
She is survived by her children, Jasper and Sue Van Vliet of Escalon, Joanne and Kevin Persenaire of Grand Rapids, Wilma and Harold Van Vliet of Escalon, and Casey and Juli Van Vliet of Escalon; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her siblings, Annie Reyneveld of the Netherlands and Jannie Niesing of South Africa.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Jacob Van Vliet and John Hartkamp; children Perry Van Vliet and Jack Van Vliet and her grandson, Matt Van Vliet.
Visitation was Thursday, July 17 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon. Graveside service was Friday, July 18 at Ripon Cemetery and a memorial service followed at 11 a.m. at Escalon Christian Reformed Church.
