El Portal Bowling League recently ended the first half of the season with the Flocking Flamingos team of Kelly Homen, Robin Aufdermaur and Stacy Lub taking first place, denying Elaine’s Travel team members Sandy Cox, Louise Spurgeon and Mary Panero a chance of overtaking them. Season high scorers for the first half of league play were: High Scratch Series – Joyce Hebert 550, High Scratch Game – Kelly Homen 200. High Handicap Series – Loise Spurgeon 704, High Handicap Game – LuAnn Oney 249.

In the final week of the first half, Gaynl Allec bowled 171 for a high scratch game and high handicap game of 247, and Chris Magana bowled a scratch series of 427, Sherri Coey bowled a high handicap series of 642.

The bowlers compete Thursday mornings at McHenry Bowl in Modesto.
