The first Escalon High Football Youth Camp was hosted on the EHS campus, Thursday and Friday, June 22 and 23.

Camp officials reported that there was a total of 127 youngsters that attended the camp, with a wide range of ages taking part.

Coaches, high school players and some volunteers helped run the camp, which featured a variety of skills drills for participants. From strength and conditioning to running routes, learning blocking schemes and working on pass receptions, the camp ran from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. both days.

The goal was to introduce more youngsters to the sport and offer them some high-level instruction.
