On Saturday, July 16 the Escalon Park Fete 2-mile and 10k runs are scheduled, with sign ups going on now.

Runners can take part in either event and this year features a new, lower cost for runners 19 and under to encourage more young people to participate.

The 2-mile is a walk or run and covers paved city streets. The 10k run covers bot paved city streets and country roads.

Cost is $25 for adults for either race, $10 for those 19 and under, either race up until July 8. After the July 8 cutoff, including race day registration, fees are $30 for adults, $15 for those 19 and under. The races start at 7:30 a.m., leaving from California and Irwin.
