SKILL DRILLS

It was a great turnout for the Youth Basketball Skills Clinic, hosted at Escalon High School on July 24. Each session hit the maximum limit of 30 players, with sessions for incoming sixth through eighth graders and one for incoming fourth and fifth graders. Varsity boys head basketball coach Nate Bartelink said participants worked on ball handling, footwork, finishing and shooting.

“Participants had great energy and effort,” Bartelink said. “Thank you to all the families that sent their kids and I appreciate the current EHS boys and girls basketball players, and Cougar alumni that volunteered their time to help out.”

Clinic sessions ran 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the older group, noon to 2 p.m. for the younger players.
